Dear Student,
Welcome to the 2007-2008 school year! We are excited about a new year of classes and opportunities.
We are focusing on Attitude for our theme this year. The key verses are Ephesians 4:22-24—"You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness." Let’s focus on having an attitude like Christ as we interact with each other this year. Let's work together as faculty and students to have "a Christ-centered education with academic excellence, moral integrity and spiritual depth, which will prepare students to follow Christ in life." That’s our mission statement and that’s our mission at CCS!
Whether you are new to our school or a returning student, we pray that this can be a year that you grow spiritually, mentally, and physically, so you are prepared to meet the challenges and blessings that God will bring.
Clinton Christian School, started in 1950, is a ministry of the Michiana area Conservative Mennonite Conference churches. The Pastoral Council, which supervises the overall direction of the school and its program, and a Board of Directors, which sets policy and administers the school, govern it.
These churches welcome families from the community who are willing to support the policies of CCS. Non-Mennonite families should recognize that the school is founded on the beliefs of the Conservative Mennonite churches. You will find our Statement of Faith in this handbook.
CCS does not discriminate in enrollment on the basis of race or ethnic origin.
This handbook seeks to outline the major policies and practices that govern student life at Clinton Christian School. CCS expects students to conform to the guidelines listed. Your parents are aware of these same guidelines. We pray that parents and students can participate with enthusiasm in school life and work to improve the experiences of all persons at CCS.
Clinton Christian School is accredited by the State of Indiana under the Freeway Status program. The school is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International, (ACSI), and of the Indiana Non-Public Education Association, (INPEA).
