Philosophy of Education

God revealed Himself to man through His written and living Word (Hebrews 1:1-2).  He is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe; all things are controlled by Him (Romans 11:33-36).  Christ is the center of everything (Colossians 1: 16-17).  It is the ultimate goal of Christian education to point students to God through His Son, Jesus Christ.  The third person of the triune Godhead is the Holy Spirit.  He comforts (John 14:16), teaches (I John 2:27), and guides the believer (John 16:13).

The Bible is the final authority that guides the Christian.  It is absolute truth.  True education will integrate the Bible into all its subjects.

The primary responsibility in teaching children rests on the home.  Christian education supplements the teaching that is started in the home and builds on it.  Our Christian school is an arm of the church.  The school is to reinforce and build upon the teaching of the church.  The home, the church, and the Christian school work together as a threefold cord (Ecclesiastes 4:12).

Our school upholds the Biblical principles of non-resistance and non-conformity.  Central to the life and teachings of Christ is the underlying principle of love (Matthew 5:38-48, John 18:36).  The Bible teaches separation unto God by our transformed lives (Romans 12:1-2).

Man is born with a sin nature due to Adam’s fall.  A child is not good in him/herself and will not obtain goodness through education.  Righteousness comes only through Jesus Christ.
