JUNIOR
HIGH
Grades
seven and eight are classified as the junior high. Students move from class to
class, as does the high school, but do not have all the privileges of high
school students.
HIGH SCHOOL
The high
school curriculum is designed to provide a solid basis in basic knowledge as
well as opportunities to pursue areas of special interest. Most electives are
reserved for the junior and senior years. (Choir is one elective class open to
freshmen and sophomores. The choir meets three times per week, practicing vocal
music for performances, which include the Christmas and Spring Programs, area
programs in churches, music contest, and an annual choir tour. The choir is a
commitment that should be considered carefully before enrolling. Time outside
of school is required.)
Due to
small class sizes, many required classes are offered every other year to two
grade levels. For example, biology is offered to freshmen and sophomores every
second year. On alternate years, basic science is offered. Thus, all students
get both classes in either their freshmen or sophomore year.
One credit
is earned for each class that meets five periods per week for one semester. All
other classes are rated by comparison to that standard.
A minimum
class load is 11 credits per year.
2. High
school students will be given course selection forms to complete with their
parents. These must be returned by the specified date.
3. CCS
reserves the right to deny enrollment to returning students, if it seems in the
best interest of the school to do so. Families will be denied enrollment
if tuition for the past year is unpaid.
MISSION
Clinton

excellence, moral integrity, and spiritual depth, preparing students to follow
